Thank You and Farewell![]() Dear Milestones Community, This is an email I’ve been avoiding writing for months, as the decision has been incredibly difficult to process. With a heavy heart, I share that Milestones Physiotherapy will be closing on the 14th March, 2025. After last year’s cardiac event and car accident – it’s made me stop and take note of what my body is trying to tell me. I thought I would be able to continue working, with medication and less working days – but my symptoms are unpredictable and I am not coping with work or home life. It breaks me to say that my body has not been able to keep up with the hopes, dreams, and goals I had envisioned for Milestones. I have loved (almost) every moment—working with our incredible families, collaborating with my wonderful colleagues, and being part of such a supportive community. However, after much discussion with my family and under the guidance of my team of specialists, I need to step back and focus on my health. The next 12 months will be dedicated to healing—reducing stress, prioritising self-care, completing cardiac rehab, and managing my condition, in the hope of achieving remission, or at the very least, better symptom control. Milestones was born from a passion to serve our community—to ensure that geographical location was never a barrier to quality healthcare. But it became so much more. It became a place of connection, learning, nurturing, and play. It was a space I poured my heart and soul into, and I will forever be proud of what we built together. I want to express my deepest gratitude to our community for your support over the – almost 8 years, 2 clinic locations and 3 kids later! Thank you for trusting us with your care, for allowing us to be part of your journey, and for embracing our vision. From home visits in my VW Polo, to taking the leap and opening a clinic, creating a concept store to Pilates classes, one person team to multidisciplinary team, MYM Mums and Bubs Groups to kindy visits, from first steps to recovery milestones—each moment has been an honour to be part of. While Milestones is closing, I’m pleased to share that the wonderful Kerrie, from All Sorted Physiotherapy will be taking over the lease, much of my equipment, and ensuring that Tegan from Communicate With Me, Speech Pathology continues to have a space. Kerrie is an experienced musculoskeletal and paediatric physiotherapist, with a strong background in clinical Pilates, so I know she will continue to provide the high-quality care that our community deserves. I hope you will give her your support. I also want to acknowledge the incredible team members who have been part of this journey – I couldn’t have done it without you. Every staff member has left their mark, and while I’ve learnt from the challenges, I am immensely grateful for the dedication and passion that so many have shared with me. 2025 was not meant to look like this – but life has other plans. I am thankful for the understanding of Amy, Lani and Kara – it breaks my heart that we cannot continue to work together and create what we had envisioned for 2025. To our patients, families, and supporters— from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for your patience, your encouragement, connection and your trust. Whether I saw you weekly, monthly or only on a few occasions, you’ve all left your mark and had an impact on my career and life. To watch you and/or your little ones grow up and achieve great things, achieve your own unique Milestones – has been an absolute privilege. I am so sorry for letting you down and for the gradual winding down of what was once a thriving business, and I only hope you know how much your support has meant to me and how devastated I am to be closing my doors. To the Doctors, Health Professionals, Community Services and Programs and Private Providers who would refer or collaborate – thank you for trusting and recommending Milestones and for supporting the health and wellbeing of the community. I’m so grateful I got to work alongside so many passionate people, who are doing their darndest to provide a health service that the CQ community requires and deserves. There are still so many gaps and we can always do better – but for now my mission is on pause…. Thank you to my family and friends – for your unwavering support and patience, as I went about building a dream. You helped in every aspect – the shoulders to cry on, the celebrations of success, building and renovating and giving me the opportunity to pursue a career, whilst also trying to be a Mum, Wife, Daughter, and Friend. Thank you for not giving up on me and holding me up, whilst everything came crashing down. For now, I am pressing pause. This is not goodbye forever— I do not know what the future holds, but it is a necessary break to prioritise my health and my family. I am hopeful and have my fingers and toes crossed, that in time, I can return to doing what I love: supporting this incredible community and families through every important Milestone in life – Pregnancy, Birth, Baby and Beyond. For those that would like an appointment before I close, please get in contact ASAP. I will do my best to fit you in.
